I haven't been up there in about 25 years but still love the place. Absolutely awsome scenery and water falls. I here Parks and wildlife have restricted a lot of access these days like everywhere else.

I was last there about 25 yrs ago myself, we did the Bloomfield track, I have fond memories of Bouncing Stones beach which is apparently blocked off now.Originally Posted by jason.ruff
I also fell in love with Kuranda and the surrounding countryside, very different to what i was used to as a boy from Alice Springs, always promised myself I'd get back that way.
This trip has been a long time coming and I cannot wait to get gone, I've been up since 3:30 am this morning, didn't start work til 7 am, wont finish til 7 pm. I head off Wednesday morning, first night outside Charters Towers somewhere, next night I'll be in the Table Lands, wake up Friday morning in the Jungle.
