HX Sandman - What's it worth ?

The body plate reads L31, this can only be a 5.0/308 V8.

Have I misread something here ?

Yes I'm saying the tags say if it's a 6 or 253 or 308...
but not any more than that ..
you can only be guessing by the numbers that are on the motor built date /day /month engine number .
wouldn't you need the original build sheet from the dealer that the owner gets with the vehicle.

Pretty much correct except only a handful were lucky enough to find a build sheet these were sometimes left in the car somewhere, only to be found years later when pulling the interior out. The dealer gave the little delivery card with the numbers hand written on them. Unfortunately they mostly got lost with the owners books as well.
