Just curious as to how many other people raced out and checked their tyre hanger after reading this thread only to find (like me )
that the winch and cup were missing.....
or had the wrong one for the rallye rims?? :errf:

Ours on the yellow van was missing because a gas tank had been installed, and the cross member had been cut out as well....our Red van was intact with spare GTS rim still in place....

Mine is a 3/79 HZ which would have had N67 rims standard. It has N66 rims on it now but still has an N67 spare with the big disc retainer on the winch.

Yeah I think the winch and rope are all the same. I thought the n67 might have had a different rope end but after looking they are all the same.

    No. Should look like this...........

    with this...........

See how the ebay one has a shoulder at the top of the bolt bit so you can tighten the nut at the bottom up against the wheel holder bit and rubber and this one needs to slide through the plate after you hook it over the wire.

Heres the ebay one for reference...

So do you plan on replacing the cross member and winch ?
Makes you wonder what happens to them after they have been removed for the gas tank..
