So thinking save 5k for the car itself.. Get something straight and rust free.. Do the magnet trick and take someone with some knowledge to go look at it. Secondly bare metal the car myself.. (using chemicals and sanding????) cant really sandblast round here.. That will save a lil bit of money on the Respray and then another 5k for the paint job and rust repair? i have no real idea on that last part

5k for a WB van would want to be a pretty good van.....

A few dents aren't really expensive to repair.... rust is if you can't do it yourself. If the paint is original and in fair condition like this one in the link, you can just rub it back with wet and dry, repair the few dents and then respray it. You don't have to take a car back to bare metal for a respray.

A car like this would be perfect for you... no rust and a good runner..... $2500 + $800 to transport it get you a pretty good van for $3300. $5000 should get the dents repaired and a "reasonable" rub back and respray at a panel shop.

cheers thanks for the links.. Im loving all the help.. I just lost a fair bit of car funds to school books and a ford EF (my Daily see other post for info) that has yet another problem... I'm thinking after looking at a few WB's and HZ's in person that i like the HZ body better.. Specially the HZ back... (Ewww WB taillights hahah) but yeah yet another setback :(

You can swap the tail lights, that is no drama. It is the side repeater lights on the rear quarter that you will have to graft into the WB body.

As for WB tail lights, they suit WB's and the rest of the modernisations they did to them. Unlike UC torana tail lights that were ewwww
