Frustrating! The screens must be made out of light material?

We are thinking that there is too much tension and maybe too much pressure being applied while printing the colours.
When it rips they go off with a almighty crack!

To fix the issue and stop it from happening again all the screens are going to be remade. I wont go into the costs but they are high!

We are under the impression and also the screen makers are thinking the same that there needs to be more "green". (area not used) allowing them to flex just that little more while printing each colour.

Its not like this is being done for the first time. To give you an idea the HQ/HJ stripe screens are even larger than the HX/HZ ones.

Hope that make some sort of sence.... When I have a spare min or two I will post some more pics of how they are printed.

    Cheers

I noticed this thread today and was wondering if you had done HZ DY6 yet and maybe I've missed it.
My car is meant to be going to get the rust cut out next week and resprayed and I know that this will take a while and that I can't put the stripes straight on, but I'm just trying to get organised.
Currently it has HX DX5 stripes which I really like, but I know aren't quite right for my HZ.

HZ DY6. No we havent as yet. And they will be the last combo to be done...

I only have the one bloke on my list that did ask for them a while back. Not sure if he is still keen or not. But I will add you to my list and let you know when we get sooner.

    Cheers

Yes correct they are! They are under very very high tension also. Also the other issue is a very fine thread material is being used. Which means we get sharper lines.

This is the 3rd time a ripped screen has happened!
