    When I was growin up as a P plater you could drive a 253 but not the 308. Orm so the RTA (then) Told me.

    Same, but apparently the vans wieghed that little bit extra and it snuck it. Although, I'm not much chop with mathematics and if I got busted... back then it had chrome 253 rocker covers on it. I was young, I figured it had to work

    When I was a red P plater I legally owned and drove a 350 tonner and didn't display my P's...

    When I was a red P plater we had them for a year, and could anything you wanted....
    HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
    HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
    HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
    1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"

    My Sandman was my P-plate machine. And L-plate come to think of it. Although I used dad's Mazda E1800 to do my test in as a windowless non power steer panelvan isn't the ideal thing to pass a reverse parallel park test in.

    never been a problem in WA!! The only issue with a 5L @ 17 was the fuel bill :(
