me thinks a re-body is in order
in melbourne altona
i have no idea what i am doing so any help would be great even if it means getting the car cut and ready to be welded for someone how knows what there doing
i would think it would be easyer to just get a hole front end of another panelvan and weld it onto mine but i have no idea of what it would cost to do a job like that
then i also have to do both side sils there is a fare bit of rust in her so if i could get it cut out for a panelbeater or someone of the like to do it i hope it would cut the cost down
any help would be much apreceated as this is my first go at fixing up a car

Yep! You would have to a very keen panel beater to take on all that rust!
I notice that the hump in tthe floor behind the rear console mount has been attacked with a ball peen hammer just like the one that is in this thread....

Interesting factory mod?
no probs with help here..but first off read what i wrote properly otherwise you will be chasing your tail...
you are not limited to a panelvan front...THEY ARE ALL THE SAME...

if the rest of the van is in fairly good order why the pg13 would you bother trying to chase a body?..front cuts are simple and anyone with a basic understanding of welding and how to play with a meccano set can do it..![]()

what do you mean ? so a ute would do is what you are saying ??
what greg is saying that it, dosn't matter what you use it's going to fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wagon, sedan, ute, panelvan, DOESN'T MATTER
ok thanks any other pointers would be great ie..cutting the rust out so on ect..
thanks
Dan
Although you would still need a van roof section to fix where that sunroof and rustroof are. I'd just be doing a rebody as well. Was there any nasty stuff at the back?
rust in the pans is easy, rust in the pillars and also in the front of the turrett is a bit of a worry. but dont let that deter you mate, find an old school beater and get them to take a look at it....you may be surprised. I want to see the progress on this one!
