Hmmm, why would you want a 3 speed manual behind a v8? This is one of those cases where "Manuals are more fun to drive" really wouldn't apply. I admit, I haven't driven a v8 with an m15, in fact I don't think I've ever seen one. Most of my experiences driving 6's equipped with an m15 have been less than impressive though. They get you there, but that's about it. If column shift is required just go an auto.

i love driving the 3 on the tree! I reckon its super authentic old skool shit box holden fanfare. Its his late fathers car and i think he's the same. doesn't mind the labor of a jammed linkages!!!

i have had a HT with 253 3 on the tree and i used it to tow a ski boat all the time with no problems and my brother has a chrysler van with a 360 and when he had kids he put a bench seat in it and went 3 on the tree and so far it has been ok but i wouldnt drive it too hard, also wouldnt the 5L from the commy be turbo pattern ?
