Ashley Grey is certainly a Holden, Kingswood and Premier colour plus most other GMH vehicles at the time (Commodore, Torana, Sunbird and Gemini). It was available from late 1978. It is however one of the 5 x A632 colour chart colours I have yet to find a Sandman in: Ashley Grey, Dark Carmine, Mojave Beige, Panama Green, Sandlewood and Tuxedo Black MkII. I have non-Sandman commercials in Mojave and Panama, which you'd expect as there were only 4 x colours available on Holden commercials, but not even a single Kingswood commercial vehicle in the others. There are plenty of early Panama Green cars but no evidence yet of post 11/78 Sandmans.

Just out of interest i'm still yet to record 7 x colours available on pre 11/78 HZ Sandman, 4 x off the A629 colour chart and 3 x others made available earlier in 1978: Antelope, Persian Sand MkII, Tuxedo Black, Ultra Blue, Mojave Beige, Mirage Blue and Sage Green.
