You obviously have not seen the latest Taiwanese panels as in most cases they are the same or thicker than original. They have learnt a lot from the old days with the exception of the lower tail gate which may still be a bit thin as compared to original.

no not the latest but the guards and tailgates ive got id never use, the guards arent even finished properly and made from coke cans

These panels are made by the same company that make panels for Dynacorn the guards you must have would be HJ - HZ they are no longer available from Taiwan , I think to say they are made of coke cans is a slight distortion as we had sold many container loads in years gone by, the tailgate we still sell because that's all we can get at the moment.
