Got to be the cheapest upper tailgate.. sold for $1.04
Could always have a "terrible accident with a council steam roller" which would of course mean that you couldn't possibly give it to the person in that condition and profusely apologise while refunding their $$....
Dunno, I don't reckon I'd let it go for that little an amount, It is worth way more than that. I would have been tempted (even though I own a ute at the moment, but looking for that mythical cheap panno in a paddock somewhere so as to resurrect it) if shipping was an option in your listing, even though it is probably a bit big to ship.
Good dough for the guards though!
Regards,
Dave.
Nunc est bibendum...
The buyer "may" have bid $300.00 in good faith but next bid increment led to the sale of $1.04 then that's just a bonus to the purchaser.
I have sold many, many items and lost out big time taking a risk with a $0.99 kick off. On the same note I have made some ripper purchases where I have felt sorry for the seller.
I've also sold items that have returned far more then expected. A deal is a deal, sale is a sale.
I'd say the killer with this auction is that is was limited to Adelaide pick-up only. Never a good way to sell an item if you want a maximum return.
If nothing else, it should be marked up to lesson learnt.

Sorry Dave, the auction obviously had been edited before I got a look. If it said Stickers/Decals plural I would expect two and would have argued the point also regardless of the price.
I actually do custom vinyl decals myself so knocking up some of these is no hassle. You get the benefit of modern long life 3M vinyl from new stock.
