HX one tonner chassis??? Aren't they shorter?? Not that it should make a difference up front I suppose.....:o:o:D:D

1 tonner chassis is 6 inches longer than ute/van from behind the cabin...

:errf:...not me.....columns are all the same length hq to wb...

it appears once the whole story came out that it was a wb ute,hence the body put on a hx chassis after it came to a sudden stop...impact on the right rail pushed the steering box back which pushes the intermediate shaft back and punches it into the column which in the hx to wb the bottom plate is welded to...this punches the floor up and the column collapses..
therefore making the distance between the floorplate where it bolts up and the underside of the column shorter...thats why the good column would not fit...the floor was punched up a couple of inches..

ahhhhhhh yes that would make sence.... why would you fit a non RTS chassis to an RTS ute. going backwards. lol.
