HZ Caprice grille is a HX one, so is Deville, just different paint treatment and the wider alloy bit added at the top on Caprice. SL/E is just a normal HZ grille with every second bar sticking out further. There is only 2 x HZ grilles, the Holden/Kingswood/Premier/GTS one and the SL/E one.
HJ grille is the same for all Holdens. HJ Statesman was unique. They kept the same grille for HX ute and van and Belmont sedan and wagon. The rest of HX Holdens got a unique grille, and Statesmans had their own which stayed on HZ Statesmans.
In my opinion HJ has the nicest 2 x grilles of all of HJ-HZ. The front of a HJ GTS is the best of all of those, and HJ Statesman is my pick of the 3 x Statesman style grilles: HJ, HX and HZ SL/E. Although I don't mind the HX style Statesman grille (in this thread http://www.mysandman.com.au/forums/s...er-Tidy-HZ-Ute) it is really just a HJ grille with a few extra bars in it, and it doesn't look as nice on a HZ Caprice where they remove the neat little top mould and add the big ugly alloy one above the grille. Plus they tried to make it look more like a HJ grille on the HZ Caprice by painting every other bar black!
