    So $800 and it could be at 60 thou then you may as well drop it in the ocean
    if it was a bit cheaper i may have considered it
    and sleeving cost are to much

    Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to this kind of thing.
    God I hate selling 308's, everyone wants it to be running and standard bore .
    If I found an original motor for a car and it was 60 thou, I would resleeve or look at going to 65 thou.

    $800 for a good running 308 is cheap

    U know what, I am actually doing u a favour. I don't need to sell it, it's in one of my keeper cars . I just thought someone may need it if it was close to what they needed

    Thanks Adam Perth. Here are all my numbers. The rego sticker is what I'm going by for the Engine number. HZ8W M70, Body No- 416382-A Trim-1939-18V, Paint-567-30530, engine L31, Trans M21, diff GV4. ADR Holden HZ Panel Van 06-78 BHZ22157A Seating 2. All the numbers match up the body number is the same as the tags.

    i just found a 253H prefix motor with standard bore dated nov 1970 so they are still out there

    Not sure what u r asking . But I only guess what the numbers are supposed to be , but mr jones or HK1837 can tell u more accurately. But given that Bryon probably has 100 emails a day, and probably gets overloaded with questions I can guess that yours should be around QT 94xxx or QT 95xxxx. Again only a guesstimate

    I just sold a 253 torana engine (HRxxxx )in pieces suit rebuild to Canberra for $600. It's a numbers game to some
