I've got absolutely no idea how he came at $45K
Even if it was a verified Sandman that figure has no relevance to that car.

He might have put an extra zero on it by mistake
Wally raised this one and can someone answer me this please. The question was did Acacia Ridge make any Sandmans without XX7?
I found this the other day and has me puzzled?

Correct me if Im wrong but H is a Acacia Ridge build?
While mistakes could of happened it is unlikely.
Should you feel a car is a likely miss stamped Sandman you need to find the documented proof I.E: Sales receipt, production sheet or purchase order.
Without the proof it is not a Sandman - Simple.
Yes your right Innuendo I meant to say H3 as per the tags. Im not trying to prove anyone wrong ,just trying to work out what the go was with those tags. They may not even be from that van more the point after after nearly 40 years anything is possible too.
Have to disagree with you there when it comes to Acacia Ridge..... They stuffed up often with plate stampings. I had a 308 4sp HX Monaro Brisbane built... Vin had a T for 308 but other plate was stamped L32 M21....
James had a HJ XX7 that was stamped as a 3 seater and then over stamped with a 2.
I would say there are quite a few Brisbane built Sandmans that missed getting XX7 stamped, particularly HQ and early HJ.... as you say though they will never be accepted as a genuine Sandman unless you are lucky enough to find the build sheet.
I found similar tags the other day. what can ya tell me about this one??

EVEN THE YOUNG GIRLS LOVE SANDMANS!
6cyl HJ van, optioned with 202, 4spd, and buckets. Might be a Sandman in which case only option appears to be 202.
