    You have to remember that glove box lids and gts parts are damn easy to exchange. You'd never rely on a tyre placard unless you can certify it is original to the while car.

    You're right, it's definately not a reliable certifier, but in this case if someone was trying to make it look like a Sandamn they'd have to know about the placard and track down track down a Sandman to get the glovebox lid to suit the XU3.

    If this was my van I'd be scratching back some paint looking for blackouts. Looks as though it has some serious roof racks fitted, so it may have been a tradies van and had the headlining and associated teeth/brackets removed too.
    It's not worth giving up on. Hero colour, v8 2 seater with the right placard is worth investigating to the fullest. A report from Holden Historical services could really pay off here.
