walk away. if it was 'worth' the money it would have sold a while ago. terrible having incorrect chassis as it will be regoed as HJ and have HX tags. if its spent 4 yrs outside it will have more than surface rust in the gutter. that is almost a certainty.

Hi, welcome to the forum Mannavale.

As far as originality is concerned the wrong chassis is a biggy and will affect value now and in the future. It will never get top dollar. That said if the price is right for what you want it for and what it is then its your decision.

There was a nice original looking HZ Sandman van on Ebay yesterday that sold within hours of being listed. Was in Qld so fair trip for me! Did anyone else see it or better still buy it? Would be curious to know what $$ it brought. Apart from the side windows and sunroof it looked spot on to me. Would also be a great match for my Flamenco Red HZ Kingswood ute!
