    I'm back, kinda

    Hi All,

sorry to disappear like that, I got a promotion at work that has been taking up alot of my time. I am still out there on road trips as much as possible, but not as long as some of my first years trips. I should be able to post more now that the change has settled a bit.

I have started an Instagram (cams_camping_adventures) and Twitter (@camscampingadv) for my photos

The van just had its 18 month 45,000K service, I am at 44,000Ks and have had 1 speeding ticket for 12 Ks over - pretty good really.

The PPF is holding up well and I am still loving the speed liner on the bumpers etc. I have not done anything in the back, but the camping gear has reduced massively. Basically just roll a swag out in the van or on the ground for nice nights.

I am having trouble uploading pics right now but will try again later.

Great to hear you are out and about.
Still trying to get this iPad to put pictures on this site?
    Works every where else.
Anything to report about your van?
    Running good I hope.

    Cheers Kiwivan

    Cheers Kiwivan,

the van is running great, get this though, during its recent service the rep called to say my AC filter is dirty and needs changing, this was a factory deleted option as I had heard it was a scam to increase service charges, $170!

Same bloke also wanted $70 to replace the wiper blades! and $270 each tyre to replace and balance, after 45,000 Ks! Others are getting over 150,000 Ks with them and everyone else has the Re003's at around $150 to 180

My set price service went from $239 to $1,570 real quick! told them no on all extras and put in a complaint to Holden.

Where to start with my recent trips?

Do I start in October last year and come forward or go backwards?

    Where have I been?

I keep getting lost looking through old photos to post.

Looks like the last trip I shared was Wongai Waterholes. Since then I've been to the Sunshine coast a bunch

Have been going through old photos/trips, since I last posted I have not had a holiday, but, have been driving to and from work so most of the places I have explored have been south east to central Queensland, little country towns and back roads where possible.

Places like Woorabinda, Baralaba, Kokotungo, Argoon, Banana (where they don't grow bananas, named for a prize Bull), Moura, Theodore, Cracow, Biloeila, Thangool, Camboon, Moonford, Monto, Camboon, Kalpowar, Coominglah, Mungungo (great Pub), Cania, Mulgildie, Ceratodus, Boynedale, Ubobo, Eidsvold, Dululu, Goovigen, Wowan, Bauhinia, Rolleston, Springsure, Emerald, Oombabeer, Taroom, Mundubbera, Binjour, Gayndah, Bam Bam Springs, Mount Lawless, Mount Rainbow, Goodnight, Booyal, Childers, Turkey Beach, Seventeen Seventy, Agnes Waters, Deep Water, Baffle Creek, Boompa, Teebar, Boroweena, Woolooga, Gootchie, Kilkivan, Goomeri, Booubyjan, Murgon, Cherburg, Ficks Crossing, Ammamoor, Kandanga, Imbil, Lower Wonga, Mothar, Cootharaba, Boreen Point, Tiaro, Burrum Heads, Susan River, Urangan, Rules beach, Berajondo, Euleilah, Lowmead, Booral, Bunya Creek, Poona, Tinanbar, Mooloo, Kinbombi and probably more I can't remember.

Great little towns for the most part, in need of visitors. Some places I have visited again and again (Boyne Valley), others once was enough (Moura). Some I really want to get back to (Boreen Point, Seventeen Seventy) and some I probably shouldn't have gone to in the first place (Camboon, bad road)

As I get time I will post some pics/stories and hopefully I have figured out how to convert Video to Gifs to share on here...

Still can't get the 360 photos to share anywhere.

Good stuff. I did a Motorbike trip from Canberra to Cape York in April/May and had a quick skim through your thread beforehand for ideas. Schedule was pretty tight so we didn’t get to stray too far away but I recognize a fair few of those names as we went up the Burnett Highway.

Hot tip- the cafe on the corner in Monto does one of the best club sandwiches I’ve ever had, and the coffee was top notch too.

So many places to visit so little time/petrol money, last night I figured out I am exactly 2,000 Ks from Melbourne cbd. I reckon there and back might make a good week off.
