HX Sandman - What's it worth ?

My 2 cents worth. As is it is probably only worth as much as a similar condition V8 ute (no premium sandman value), maybe less because it is a van on the plates.


But if you go to the effort (and from the pics it looks in general good nic) to convert to van it would probably be a better starting point than buying a van that needs lots of work restoring and then you have a top spec sandman van of the era in a desirable colour (IMO) that would justify the bucks spent.

Plus I prefer van anyway.


For $90 Holden Historic services may be able to confirm original engine number for you. Then there will be no doubters to your claim.

Still haven’t seen what’s actually different other than the gills? Are they different inside too?

Yes, they are different on the inside and when you open the back it's very plan to see.
