    Sandman ute weight 1860

    are all sandman utes 1860 not 2200 or just hj or is there a mixture

    They all vary. Depends on motor option and ac option etc etc.

    my ute is 308 m21 and is 1860 the ute on ebay is 2200 and i dont think anyone aggrees with him that it is a sandman what is your oppinion. one of the main answers to the history of my ute was that its weight pointed it to being a sandman

    Xx7 and xu3 sandman's have different gvm because they have different carrying capacity's

    I don't think that your open question can be answered

    am i the only person who asks all the questions that have no answers or do i just have the best fake sandman in australia that someone has just built out of every odd rumore on what a real sandman has

    go to www.monaroparts.com which is byrons website and you will see tags from a hj sandman xx7 with a 2200kg weight..i owned the car..

    how does the different weight configurations come about or is that info on byrons site

    dude it's monaroparts :-)

    I think some of the weight differences come about in HJ because of motor/gearbox combos (ie 6cyl to 8), tyre combos (xx7/xu3) and just being incorrect. The HQ series had the same gmv whatever, I think the early HJ the same until Holden was forced to state the correct GMV based on the component weight and tyre combinations.

    Oz does that mean that if you put a different motor in it, it could have been a bigger motor (legally) due to the increased load rating..
